center console

Well heres yet ANOTHER thread on questions i have. Is the 08 console a direct bolt in to my truck? I have the console that folds up into a seat. Also, is this console a direct bolt in?

05-08 Ford Super Duty Tan Wood Grain Center Console LKQ: eBay Motors (item 200464527568 end time May-23-10 04:19:16 PDT)

An would i have to get the seats with built in armrests to properly utilize either of these consoles? Im leaning toward the console as shown in the think above because it would match my interior nearly perfectly. Also do they interfere with the 6spd manual?

Thanks in advance for the help you guy have helped me a bunch over the past

Re: center console

That is not an 08, it is the earlier 07 and back.
I change my seat like you have to an 08
console, it bolted right in. Go with an 08 or
newer you will like it better then the earlier ones,
had that in another truck.

Re: center console

Yeah i know thats the earlier one. I should have posted up the 08 i was looking at. The pnly problem i have with an 08 is that it doesn't match the 2000 lariat interior like i have. But i think for the earlier console like pictured above requires seats with built in arm rests because the console isn't big enough for your arm to reach it. I think

Re: center console

Your right stroker you won't have any where to rest your arm... They are nice consoles but you need the right seats.

Re: center console

does that only apply to the earlier console or does it apply to the 08 console also?

its the opposite with the 08 console.

08+ console in older trucks you DON'T want to have the factory arm rests

99-07 console you WANT the factory arm rests

I would say get an 08 console and dye the plastic to match your interior (same as you would a gauge pod) its what I did in mine and matches perfectly.

Make sure you get them with the console, they bolt to holes already there.
The 08 is the way to go because it is high enough to be use as an arm rest.
You should check with companies that build ambulances, that is where I found mine New for around 100.00 shipped. Call around.
