Tinting taillights?

I already have the Recon LED smoked taillights but I want them to be even more smoked out even black but still be able to light up. I read a post one time about some spray tint stuff used to tint lights. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Wife did her Tail lights and third brake light on the X... It was a rattle can stuff, but I cant recall the product. I have a can or two left in the shop. I can take a look this weekend if no one else can come up with it.

Re: Tinting taillights?

I know what you are talking about. Are the smoked taillights darker/brighter/no difference than stock taillights? My buddy did it to his truck and didnt look bad at all. I wish I could remember what the name of the stuff was.

The smoked lights I have are a hell of a lot brighter, but they are LED's.

Did a quick search of what you are looking for. It is transparent paint. I remember when my friend did it you need to make light coats of the spray so its still transparent. Heavy coats of it will make it darker and harder to see then you will probably see...A couple light coats should be good though. Then spray a clear coat on it and you will be good to go.
