1999? 2000? or 2006?

Well I'm new to the PSN and would like to say hi first of all. But here's my question to all. I'm trying to decide between a 2000 F-250 7.3 ECSB, 63,000 miles, XLT, Auto trans. $20,000. Or a 2006 F-250 6.0 CCSB, 55,000 miles, Lariat, auto trans. $32,000 Or a 1999 F-250 7.3 one owner ECSB, 72,000 miles, XLT, auto trans. $20,000. All look like very clean trucks but I haven't got to go out and look at them yet. If you guys could help me with some info about which would be my best choice for DD and mpg that would be great. After getting one I will be looking to mod also. And are there any big problems with the 2006 6.0? what's my best buy?

Before you get serious, despite the mileage (or lack thereof) those prices are way way high so unless you negotiate the seller down a bunch, don't get too excited.

I just checked the Kelly Blue Book on the 2006 and it says the suggested retail is $31,400. and it says the suggested retail on the 2000 is $16,600

I'm not sure about Wisconsin, but I paid $25,500 out the door for my 2006 with 57k last summer.

2006 best IMHO, then again I drive one

If you get the 6.0, plan to set 3 grand aside to make it bullet proof. Or you can ride it if it blows then do it, whatever floats your boat.

I've got a 2006 Lariat crew cab 4x4 Dually loaded to the hilt with all options that I'll sell you for $25k. Truck is pristine, non smoker, and still under warranty.
Fly out and drive it home.

Sold my 07 3500 Cummins to get out of a truck payment.
Purchased a 2000 f250 PSD 4x4 CC LWB XLT with leather seats and 70k miles. Very happy with the new/old truck. SCT SF3. DIY Donaldson air filter BHF. ZooDad. New Greesable xrf ball joints/tie rods/inner axle seals.

Re: 1999? 2000? or 2006?

for the 99 and 2000.. an extended cab, short bed, 4x4 runs 12k to 17k around here. add a little for lariats and aftermarket. havent seen any around 20k. my bddy has been looking for a 7.3, this is how i know. but i dont know what trucks go for up there either. i would think you could be better off finding a truck down south and flying to pick it up. if you find one close to houston, i could try to check it out for you just to make sure it isn't junk. then again.. opinions are like @ssholes. everybody has one, and they usually stink.

early 99 cc 4X4.. 4" exhaust, cushtom tunes, DI hybrids, DI tranny, GQSSB turbo and 3" plenums from WOP,

13.94 @ 96.9mph.. on stock turbo
