mechanical temp gauge questions

I cannot get my mechanical temp gauge to go into the plug that is located beneath the t-stat housing its an autometer cobalt series anyone have any experience with these gauges and how to hook them up none of the fittings they sent with the thing work at all or are even close to what i need any help would be appreciated, Im pretty frustrated at this point...

2000 f-350 SRW CC, 6" lift 22" KMC wrapped in 37" Toyo's, S465, Swamps 275/226, Studs, Springs, Pushrods, Gen3, TS 6 pos chip with Swamps Tunes...

I believe it's a 3/8ths NPT fitting, but I never tried screwing something in there. You might try taking the plug to HD or Lowes and see what matches up, if you have something to catch & reuse your coolant.

too late thought it would work as planned and just be quick about changing the plugs out.... not so much coolant flush in the works now lol

There you go -- 3/8ths to 5/8ths NPT. You should be able to find that at Lowes or HD in their brass aisle.
