Cab and dash swap

I have an 03, Super Cab. Inner rockers and cab corners are shot. I'm picking up a cab from an 06 truck this weekend. New cab is going to come complete with dash. I know guys are swapping to the 08+ dash, but how about the 05-07 dash? If at all possible I would like to keep the 06 dash. Has anyone done this swap, maybe have anything that I need too keep an eye out for?

Re: Cab and dash swap

The dash is almost the same. Should be an easy swap. Just toss your wiring harness and cluster in it and go.

Re: Cab and dash swap

So is the 03 a 6.0?

So my guy just called me, and he just got another cab in. This one is a 99 gas job. It's in better shape than the 06 cab.
Anyone know which model years the firewall was different? If the 05-07 was different and the 99 is the same then I may just go that route.

Re: Cab and dash swap

I'm 90% sure that the cabs are the same from 99-07. The only area I think might be different is where the harness is. But that can be cut out and stichted in.
