Re: removing fender emblems

Hair dryer and fishing line. Heat it up and slide the fishing line between the emblem and the fender (or tailgate) slowly working through the foam tape. Once the emblems off, use some goo-gone or other paint acceptable cleaner, get most of the rest off.
Put on the new ones, take pics, post, and you're done lol

Re: removing fender emblems

I don't know if there is a difference between the 99 and 02, but it isn't just double sided tape. There is actually a hole in the fender and the back of the emblem has a piece that goes into the fender. Not that the hole in the fender will matter since you are replacing the emblem, but when the fishing line stops don't think you need to pull harder to get through the tape!

99 F-350, 7.3 diesel, 6" lift, 37" tires, 18" wheels, yellow paint with chrome accessories and tonka emblems, line-x spray in bed liner, crocodile leather interior, billet inserts. Getting ready to all change!

Re: removing fender emblems

Great point! Forgot the mounting studs. All 99-07 fenders have them. You'll need a plastic puddy knife to help to gently pry the emblem in the center sections.
