tire wear patterns

What causes a feathered wear on the inside edge of a front tire....
First I thought alignment, but it is up and down like a saw blade.
Ie one tread good the next is like a 1/4 down etc....

Thanks
Mike

Re: tire wear patterns

if it only on the inside of the tire i would say it alignment with maybe some shock wear.
