testing battery cables

Does anyone have a good explanation on how to test battery cables? Pretty sure mine are shot. I have a digital multimeter and access to a fluke amp meter.

03 E-350 7.3, forged rods, exhaust ported heads, comp 910's, 38R/47, 4.10LS, stealth twin pumps, 300cc hybrids from Swamps, h-11's, racerx trans and TC, Swamps tunes, water...

Test the resistance from one end of the cable to the other end if you have some alligator clips or something it makes it so you only have to stay on 1 end of the truck while you test them.
I also see you have a van if you are having problems the area I usually see a problem on the E series is the lower battery on the frame. I just replaced a cable on a van and it's not bad to do but the cable is expensive because the cable includes the negative cable for the frame battery to the starter.
