Re: auburn gear

ive got there ls in both trucks and really like it. very good street manners, quiet, rebuild service is well priced you do have to send it to them but i sent it off on a monday and had it back friday i dont remember how much it was but it wasnt much like $100 with shipping. as they wear they get more aggressive. when they re did mine i had them leave mine more aggressive like there pro series and like it a bit more. i got almost 200k miles out of it before i rebuilt it. it has enough bite to get both tires goin but not chirpin and tearin tires up and dont have to worry about breakin stuff with the trailer or a heavy load on the rear.

i cant really say anything bad about it. for a ls its hard to beat. i still kinda wish i had a full locker in the rear but were screwed for selection of selectable lockers for the rear. i didnt like the idea of cutting a pretty substancial notch out of a bearing cap to get the arb in. i know 2 people that have had that cap break with an arb and the rear end is never right after that. theres no good way to go about fixing that. so i just run ox locker in the front of my truck

Re: auburn gear

I've got one too. I've got 110k miles on it with no problems. It is more aggressive than the factory LS.
