2002 F350 on to a 2008 rolling chassis?

I am looking to swap to coil suspension on my 02. I can get a full rolling chassis including the steering gear and linkage in place for a couple hundred bucks more than just the axles. First question: is this worth doing or is it just going to make things more complicated compared to swapping the axles, spring buckets, etc.? Second question is if it is doable is the frame from a extended cab long bed the same as a crew cab short bed?

I'm pretty sure the frames are different from a extended cab and a crew cab. I could be wrong though.

If you do frame swap you would have to swap the front sheet metal to a 08-10 because the front of the frame is different.

But upgrading to some 08+ rear springs will help with the ride some. You also will need the 08 steering box or ream out your stock pitman arm.

The frames are definitely different. Extended cab long beds are also longer than cc short
