Shopping advice 1999 7.3 vs 2003 6.0

So I'm looking at getting a new truck I found a 1999 7.3 with 164,xxx miles and also found a 2003 6.9 with 128,xxx miles,just wanted to know what yall thought of them and if either one of them would be worth it and if they would be able to handle up to driving from Illinois to florida a couple times a year,thanks im advance. 1999:Used 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT 4dr XLT 4WD Extended Cab SB For Sale | 4T48A | Greenfield, IL | Morrow Brothers Ford . 2003:2003 Ford F250

They essentially are the same truck minus motor and trans, but the truck itself is essentially the same. If I was going to buy a 6.0 it would be an 05+ as that was the body style update and the suspension update. If I had to choose between those two trucks I would pick the 7.3 just due to track proven reliability out of the box. Flip side to that is the 6.0 is gaining popularity because it can make some really good power but you need to open your wallet to make it reliable.

Go with the trusty 7.3. Like already said basically the same truck with different engine & trans. Maybe the front axle. The 03 6liter is the worst year for that platform.
