winter storage

so I'm going to buy a 4x4 beater for the winter, my 2wd just won't make it through the snow.

what should be done to store my truck for 4-5 months? obviously remove the batts, put them on a trickle charger, was going to change the oil the day before I put her away.

help me out, what else?

thanks

Re: winter storage

check your antifreeze, i would put some stabalizer in the fuel, depending on where you are keeping it at maybe moth balls or another form of bug repellant

Re: winter storage

Are you sure you want to store it? Why not just run it on some warmer days when there is not a bunch of salt on the road? I don't put a lot of miles on mine over the winter. I only use it when the roads are clean. I drive my beater car in the salt and snow.
