Re: New Hood Help

Should I get the bolts almost all the way tight first?

You need to get them at least good and snug... other wise it will pivot on those two mounting bolts on each hinge. It can be a slow process of pulling it off and sliding the mounts in the hood in and out to get it to fit right. Take your time and it is nice to have an additional hand...

Re: New Hood Help

Leave the latch ring off the hood so you can open and close it easily...then just tighten up the bolts to where you can still move the hood around and it's pretty easy.

Spending money I don't have on crap I don't need to impress people I don't know.

Re: New Hood Help

its possible with two people, but three is prolly the best idea to keep it steadier. put the bolts in and snug them slightly. u can jus tighten one on each side make ur adjustments and then u can tighten them all. i use to work ina body shop.
