Stress on front end.

I just put a Road Armor bumper on the front of my 01 Super Duty and am concerned about the stress on the front end of the truck. The bumper weighs 340 lbs. 99% of my driving is on paved roads. I am going to lift the truck 4 inches and put 20 in wheels and 35 in tires on it. Is there anything I need to do to strengthen up the front end?

Re: Stress on front end.

have you ever weighed a plow? that is on a truck for months at a time? stock bumper is 1/3 of that wieght. The thing that is gonna stress out your front end, is the bigger tires

Re: Stress on front end.

I would just use either X codes and a 3" hanger kit or Icon 4" lift spring kit...PM me if I can help..

We only carry the BEST parts and never compromise just to get a sale.

Dealer for: Full Force, Tymar, BTS, Icon, Pure Performance, TW tunes, just to name a few.
