2" leveling shackles

I installed some 2" shackles to level out my truck.I did'nt notice until today that it looks like the shackles are putting too much presure on the leaf springs and forcing them to arch the opposite way.Has anyone here used shackles before or have any advice.I bought these instead of the leaf pack just because they looked easy to install and would keep the factory ride.

Just shackles or a hanger and shackle?

Re: 2" leveling shackles

Its not the shackles, its your springs. Most SD trucks stock have negitive spring arch after a few years.

I built some shackles for the X and they are fine after a year now.

Re: 2" leveling shackles

it seems to be a pretty common thing on superdutys after some years like said above you will have a upside down arch in the spring pack leveling kit or no leveling kit....

Re: 2" leveling shackles

... No, was I supposed to... Sorry... I can take some measurements this weekend but here are a few pic's... Do NOT center the 2" tubing when building these, offset it to the spring or it WILL hit the frame. I had to notch Chelsea's and then plate them again. Not fun.
