where is this coming from?

I installed an h2e this week and now have a bad oil leak coming from the back of the valley. I am posotive the o-rings are sealed up on the mounting plate and the oildrain tube is fine. Anyone experience this before with this set-up? Torque on plate is plenty tight.

Re: where is this coming from?

Spray it down with engine cleaner and start the truck up. Get a mirror back behind the pedistal and return tube.

First:
Look for oil seaping where the tube enters the plate. If this is the area check the return tube end that fits into the o-ring and make sure the tube is round and does not have any marks that allow oil to pass the o-ring. Also the tube needs to be 90 degrees to the pedistal to seal right.

Second:
If the oil is coming from the turbo mount or under the pedistal then removing the turbo or pedistal will have to be done.

Hope it's an easy tube fix.

Re: where is this coming from?

It's easy to take the tube off, also check that you didn't dislodge the o-ring when you poked it in. I always put a little lube on the out side to keep the rubber from bustin lose during insertion at extreme angles.

I don't have the tq spec's. Sorry!

Re: where is this coming from?

Ok, I found the leak. My DI HPX gave way...Good thing I saved the plugs.
I feel so much better now. I put this on like 4 years ago so it was probably due for an updated one.
