Feasability of adding power windows?

I have an early 99 and want to put power windows, mirrors with heat. I have window regulators, power/heated mirrors and door skins. What about wiring?

Re: Feasability of adding power windows?

the wiring is not there, harness is completely different, but it can be done.
I am in the process in my 03, using wireing diagrams from alldata.
so far I have ran the wiring for the power mirrors, and as soon as I get the power motors and door wiring I am gonna do the windows.
can all be done using factory stuff, and look factory.
did the same thing on my 95

Drivers side easy, passenger side not bad.
Getting wires across will be fun. Especially if it is a crew cab.

Could look for rolled junkers get some harness.
Splicing a few wires etc...

The heat is always on or least on with the key if that helps.
Do you have power locks?

i would buy a weight set and work out everytime before you start your truck...thus making you breath hard ( heated mirrors) and from the working out you will have hellish power windows... lol sorry i had to didnt mean to derail tho continue...

I'd look for some complete doors.

If only those who knew what they were talking about replied, this thread would still be on page one.

is the wring harness for the doors separate from the main cab harness? I am looking to do the same thing on another truck.

David, I think the wiring harness in the cab is already there. Not sure, but I think it is. I know on my 2WD truck, I have some wiring on it for some 4WD things in the cab. So I am betting Ford just has one wiring harness for the cab, and they just used what they needed. Just a WAG though.
