Single Shots w/Split Shot Tuning

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I want to verify. I'm putting my old single shot injectors in my friend's 2001 truck. How is it going to run with the split shot tuning he has until he gets his chip back. The ONLY reason I'm putting them in is due to time constraints (I need my core charge back). I know the idle will be really bad, but other than that can he run it?

Re: Single Shots w/Split Shot Tuning

it should run fine....and actually drive quite smoothly.

the only "issue" would be that the pedal may be "touchy"...at throttle tip-in...and a rolling idle (upppp....downnnn....upppppp....downnnn...)< still would be smooth, not missing or anything.

other than that...it's not a big deal....drive it all you want.

Re: Single Shots w/Split Shot Tuning

Sounds good guys thanks. While I have yall's attention I have another question. I've changed many a set of injectors on OBS trucks, have it down to a science almost, is there anything different to look out for on SD trucks?

Re: Single Shots w/Split Shot Tuning

It'll take a little longer thanks to the intercooler pipes. But other than that, no difference.

I've never had an issue, and I've yanked all of my injectors out twice.
