Tuners and Builders advice on injectors, what do you recomend.

Buying injectors for an OBS, want 500hp capable DD with the manners of a stocker.
Is this possible? I wouldn't have thought so b4 but now?
The inj I'm looking at are 250/200. Is 200% resonably tunable through the mail?
Will a 66 be big enough to clean them up or with I need to get big air?

Just want to spend the money once. I also think a lot of guys like me who are still learning would like to know but are afraid to ask.

Doesn't roll with anyone or tag along to be cool...

Re: Tuners and Builders advice on injectors, what do you recomend.

Im not a tuner but id like to hear what bean, matt, jonathan, tony, and jody have to say about this...

Or anyone else doing self tuning.

I believe you wont have any trouble tuning those to operate like stock(ish), but that setup is going to be to much for a 66. Its not going to clean up great, though it will definitely spool great. But my fear is it wont last very long. The 66 has been tested with 250/100 and 238/100 but that nozzle make quite a difference.

Tuners? lets here it

Definately too much fuel for a D66. I think you can get good enough street manners as well.

Re: Tuners and Builders advice on injectors, what do you recomend.

That's my worry to, I'm going with adrenaline oil as well and I know its good to 238/80 but don't know how much farther. The 66 should be good to that level as well. Also I'm guessing ill need studs but anything else internal?

Its been 2 years since I came and asked these same ?'s you'd think in 2 years id know the answers but this ain't gas, it it ain't easy. I'm a perpetual newb I'm afraid

This is absulutely doable! Check my truck - 523hp , 1148ft-lbs torque on 250 -100's and a 38r. Pulls trailers way better than a stocker wt cooler egt's and drives like a #####cat if you want it to. I have one tune that does it all...just use your right foot as the limiter Matt for the tuning and Nate from Unlimited Diesel for the injectors --and all injectors are not created equal, just ask me how I know These guys are both geat and have unreal customer service. Feel free to ask about anything you want about drivability. I have a bunch of videos posted up in the stage I cam thread.

^^^apreciated but I have a source for the parts and tuning. I'm just trying to get boned-up on the "why" of what I want.

250/200 and a Modded H2e is what I am running now. Its a great set up, but can be smokey above 5k. You have to drive around it a bit.

No EGT issues unless I am pulling heavy and get caught in the wrong gear...

Re: Tuners and Builders advice on injectors, what do you recomend.

a modded h2e would be a good turbo..

a gqssb has potential to be even better..

I would try to get rid of the 66, unless your going to turn those injectors down and adjust shift points to keep the drive pressures under control
