Cool Wastegate Install (Remove Turbo or not)?

I have a Turbomaster wastegate controller on my list to order but wanted to know if I was going to have to remove the turbo to install it. If so, I am assuming I might as well order new gaskets. ITPDIESEL has them real cheap so no concerns on price.

If I do have to remove it, I will probably wait until then to hook up my EBPV exhaust brake wiring and to replace the engine boots.

If you hadn't guessed, I am doing a pile-o-upgrades here in the next month. Listed below for perusal.

- Intercooler and engine boot replacement (them's is some leaky suckah's).
- Turbomaster wastegate controller.
- 4" exhaust (Turbo Back).
- 203 degree thermostat.
- DiPricol gauges (Pyro, Trans Temp, Boost).
- DP Tuner.

Most of these choices are thanks to the advice from this group, so thanks in advance.

Make sure you have a butt load of those C clips.... there is probably a half a dozen sitting in my valley somewhere.

Whenever I pull my engine I'll be curious to see what all in my engine valley.. Probably a few sockets, wrenches, fittings, my glass eye..

Re: Wastegate Install (Remove Turbo or not)?

My turbo is coming off when I install mine... It is such a pain to get back there...

It can be done without removing the turbo though..
