gauges and pods

I tried searching but could not find much info. I woudl like a pod with gauges that goes by the windshield pillar, but open to options. Trying to keep it clean and under a budget, maybe up to $300? Anty ready kits taht have the pod and gauges (i.e turbo perssure, tran temp, etc)?

What are you guys running, any recomendations for pods and gauges?
Thanks!

Re: gauges and pods

I got a 4 gauge pod with 3 Dipricol gauges (boost, pyro, tranny) from Aden at GOS Performance for $304 + shipping.... and GOS is a vendor here and he does wholesale which really lowers the price!!
DiPricols are really good gauges and you can get them in black with green illumination which matches the factory dash...

only thing cheaper would be the Autometers but I think you get what you pay for with those.... but alot of people have had good luck with them

Re: gauges and pods

most of the big vendors have prewired kits ...
i know dieselsite has one (cheapest preassembled I saw too)- autometer Dieselsite gauges
itp does- isspro and dipro itp guages

dieselmanor.com - has some isspro autometer, and dipro ,
NOTE these are kits not pre-assembled

I am sure other folks have them.

$ wise low to high the three most common are
autometer, isspro, dipro are the big 3

Re: gauges and pods

If I had to do it all over again I would get the prewired just because it cuts down on install time.

Re: gauges and pods

If you take you time & are semi good with wiring you can call it a 3-4 hour job.

Re: gauges and pods

I bought mine from ITP, but it was not prewired. Just told him the color of the interior he had the matching paint. It was not hard at all, except with it being the over the mirror mount I could not get it to stick with the wire hider for the mirror still in place, buy the time I figure out what I was doing, the stickyness was gone Now I reglue the pod back up once a year. It likes to fall off in winter. This spring I am going to get some double sided trim tape and fix it for good. Back to your question, ITP was very helpful when I did it. At the time I had owned a diesel truck for about a month so I had no idea what I was getting into

2001 Excursion Preditor tuner, 4" Magna Flow exhaust, AFE II Dry-S, Front spring pack,
add a leaf in the rear, Rear Helwig, and Rancho 9000X all around, HPX, Reg Ret, IAH delete, SP exhaust brake, JW VB, Gauges: Boost, EGT, and tranny temp. Cooling mist EGT/boost, RAS

Waiting to install:
ITP prepump and intank
