stock inj- dual hpop's

Finally decided to try the dual pumps with the stock injectors. Ive been towing a fair amt lately and the constant ses light (1211) up every big hill got old. It didnt matter what setting the chip was in, there was always a light. The chip is tuned for big b codes and dual hpop so that is alot of the problem. i didnt want to get a reburn if the big injectors are going back in soon. Anyway before the pumps id see 25 psi of boost in the tow setting with 1300* egt's, very little smoke and all round good drive ability. Without changing anything but adding the pumps- peak boost went up to about 29psi and egt's DROPPED to 1150* MAX w/o water injection. Ive done several 0-100+ mph runs, the egt's have never broke 1150. BTW there is more smoke through out the rpm range now, where as before there was very little. Oh and the single pump that was on the engine before was a ~6 month old 17* pump. Should be a towing rig now. Im going on a trip this weekend so i'll be able to see if it changes the mileage any.

Mods are as follows: 66mm/19cm modded h2e turbo, fuel system, DIIC, TW tuning, Stealth pumps.

Though id let everyone know the results.

Sounds exactly like my results, except after Jody's live tuning the smoke nearly disappeared and was way less than it ever was prior to big oil. But yeah the EGT drop was surprising too. It's nice being able to tow in 80 econo up a mountain pass without even coming close to the danger zone. Also the extreme tune is running much lower EGT's. I can just barely hit 1200 degrees in that setting.

I loved my stock injector and dual hpop set-up. Made for the ultimate tow rig, awesome torque and great egt's

Same here.

I noticed with mine I had no "fall on it's face" going into overdrive on light throttle, a few times I had to look to make sure I didn't have OD cancelled out.


You should have one nice tow rig

headgasket let go and i dropped a stock engine in to get me by until the one gets fixed.

What dual HPOP setup are you running? Does running dual HPOP with stock injector 'support' more HP or give the ability to squirt more fuel out of the injectors since the oil pressure to the injectors is steady and doesnt drop off.
