They do what they're supposed to do, but there is no difference in power.

So they only make the motor run smoother and more quiet?

The crossover smooths out the idle a little.

The CCV simply keeps oil vapor from getting in the intercooler.

Yes and no.... I would say that the performance issue depends on the vehicle. They definitely smooth out and quiet down the injectors. In my case, I picked up almost 6psi of boost with the stuff in my sig. The HPX line and CCK were the only two things I've done to the truck since I bought it, everything else was already done.

See the thread I made when I did my CCK Kit..... Mod Party....CCK & HPX Line

I wouldn't say that my results are typical, but I'm sure happy with these mods.

He's talkin about the CCK, not CCV..... Fuel Cross Connect Kit from Dino Fuel Alternatives.

Your sig has a hypertech chip, that would be the reason for your increase boost. Not the oil or fuel crossover lines.

Hypertech was in when I bought the truck. It was already trying to push the fuel and oil. The CCK and HPX allowed that fuel and oil to flow and also stopped the #8 cylinder from getting starved. I was failing the Cylinder Contrib Test on #8 before the I installed the two and Pass with flying colors now.

Performance gains with or without a chip are possible with the CCK and HPX. The question is what do you consider performance? Improved efficiency is a performance gain. While you may not gain horsepower or boost with the install, you will get improved throttle response, quiter injectors, and a smoother motor. I would definitely consider those performance gains. Without a chip, you may not see the increased boost, but you will get the above 3 things. Those were all I was expecting and even if I hadn't picked up the boost, I would still say this install was well worth it!

I agree with that, I just dont agree that you picked up 6lbs of boost from these two mods.
