Re: lookin for advice

IMHO,
get injectors, you won't regret it. That along w/ a GTP 38R combination was WOW, until my PCM went to crap.

BDP has good tunes but I have a realllllllyyyyy hard time getting in touch w/ them.
GOLFER w/ swamps has been reading some of my posts and chiming in.
Either should do great for injectors.
I have seen that GOLFER has posted replies that if you email him he will get you pricing. I DO NOT know what that is but i'm under the impression that if you source him for everything, you might save a few $$.

Make your own tymar w/ a donaldson filter, don't have the # but if you PM i can get you info on what i have.

get gauges, check ebay or get everything from a single vendor if possible.
find either a 4 or 5" exhaust
then add injectors and a chip.
You will NOT regret it! I wish i had added some injectors and a BB turbo sooner!

"New" 05 no payment, all original 305k and runs like a champ

Re: lookin for advice

What is your budget? That really will dictate what mods to do and in what order. But no matter what, gauges are a must.

Re: lookin for advice

I get a hold of them pretty quick..might have been timming
Right before events like ts the big shops get slammed.
When in doubt pm bean I have gotten a 24 hr or less response everytime.

But for an early 99 id say go w beans d66 if your stg2. Injectors or less.
Cause it will drop right in. Or if your stg2 or larger go with an h2e or modded h2e
Or a wop qssb series. You will have the same $$ or less by the time you swap everything over. Now if your a 99.5+ the gt38 is a great drop in

Early 99 f350 4x4 crew cab, auto. pmt2 pcm
2001 cup holder ,T500, MAX AC ASSIST AC mod, Diy Twin tymar, TS chip, Powerslots & Hawk pads, ford AIC, ..... with big fat want to list.

Re: lookin for advice

Is it an early or late 99? If it's an early one it's more expensive to go with bigger turbo. Check my signature. I can pull my 13K lb toyhauler up 5-6 miles of 6% @ 50-55 mph. And I have a stock turbo and stock AB injectors.

Perfect start right there.

Tony Wildman told me once. If you do it all at once, you get one smile, it will be a good one, but it will be one.

Do it in stages, Intake, Exhaust, and guages = smile.
Chip (get one from somebody that does free reburns) = smile
When you get done with that smile:

Adrenaline = smile
Turbo and injectors = smile

Of course you have to do all of the supporting mods to keep your motor happy and free of unwanted ventilation mods. But that is just more quality time spent with your truck. You keep her happy and she will return the favor.

Unless of course, your name is Badluck_early99.

No, not you. There is a guy here named Badluck_Early99. He is aptly named. He has had a lot of bad luck with his truck. On his way from Oregon to New Orleans right now. Tried to talk him into changing his user name. I wish him good luck on his trip.

OP, sorry for the derail. Back to your thread now.
