Truck Stalls

I have a 2001 F250 w/ the 7.3 and sometimes the truck will stall randomly. It will happen when the truck is shifted into a gear. Often from reverse to drive but other times it will stall in intersections as well . It does have a 4 position TS chip. I recently took it into a shop so they can run some codes and they came out with a "PCM Failure" code. Is it possible for the truck to run and still have PCM failure or does the PCM either work or completely fail. Regardless, I feel that this is an issue with the chip or its installation and will be removing it in the meantime. Just was wondering what your guys' opinions/comments were.

Re: Truck Stalls

Pull the chip and see if it does it, if not then it may be caused by the chip or someone who installed the chip cleaned off the contacts too much on the pcm.
