Walbro Went In Yesterday

The Walbro pump went in and has fixed the fuel starvation issue I wass having. These injectors do need more fuel and the stock pump could not do it. So now my shifts are nice and clean. At WOT I only drop 3 lbs of fuel pressure.
All I have to say is WOW this truck is pretty quick now. Already in the mid 9's at about 1/2 throttle in the 1/8th. I am looking forward to some better times now.
If anyone is having fuel pressure problems Walbro or Bosch. I got 2 Walbro pumps for the price of the Bosch and one is in my toolbox.

Re: Walbro Went In Yesterday

It is the GSL-392 and pumps 255 lph. Hope this helps. It holds pressure very nicely. I purchased it at aztpi.com

Re: Walbro Went In Yesterday

So did you replace your stock pump with this or are they working in parallel?

Re: Walbro Went In Yesterday

When I had my walbro set at 60psi I was getting a pressure drop. I bumped it to 62psi(after warmed up) the pressure does not drop at all any more. The first trip down the strip this last weekend I was watching the fuel pressure gauge very closely and it did not budge off 62psi.

Re: Walbro Went In Yesterday

The Walbro GSL395 pump is for low pressure applications such as TBI installations. The pump can generate over 30 PSI but is designed to run at 10-15 PSI.

The Walbro GSL392 pump is for high pressure applications such as TPI, LT1, LS1 and Vortec installations. The pump can generate over 100 PSI but is designed to run at 35-65 PSI.

Re: Walbro Went In Yesterday

Yes thanks to Strokin early also. It was his posts I read that lead me to this fuel pump. I am running around 71 psi seems my injectors like it a bit better.
