DD Tune? What's yours and why?

*Looking to keep this thread halfway organized for obvious reasons so please no derailing guys*

Let's see how great some of y'all are at following directions.

Tell me:
-Who tuned it
-Your DD tune
-MPG increase you saw with this file
-EGT'S, and Boost at normal cruising speed
-Why you like it so much as to make it your DD over the other tunes.
-Anything you would change to it.

Feel free to chime in with small chit chat over the tune.

Not about what injectors you want or turbo etc...strictly DD stuff please

Re: DD Tune? What's yours and why?

Bill at php

140 tune but once in awhile 80 performance

not sure

I wanna say 6-700 at 55mph and maybe 2-3 boost
I just like having the most power on tap and I like the slight haze coming out my stack. The pedal is completely linear so its very easy to drive in dd.I got 21.7 mpg on my last trip going average 70mph in it.

I would change it so it shifts sooner at part throttle into overdrive before 55mph.But its probably better on my trans with stock 3.73's and 35's so I stick with it.

2004 f250 egr delete,studded,fass 95,suncoast convertor,itp RR,Banks intercooler,58v tuned ficm,Powermax turbo,Matts tunes,6in Icon and 35 toyos 20x12 fuels

*Jody @ DP Tuner
*60tow (circa 2005)
*+1 mpg overall
*EGT's are almost always 10X the speedo - 60mph = 600* EGT, 70mph = 700*, etc...
*I like it because it was my only tune for a couple of years - it's on my PCM.

I put "circa 2005" next to the tune because it seems to have changed over the years. I recently had his 60tow program on a chip (2/09) and the throttle is more responsive, engine is noisier, and mileage went back down to what it was stock. I am now back to the original 60tow on the PCM and my mileage is back too.

I have some PHP tunes on the way to try, should be here next week. Reviews to follow.

2000 F350 PSD, 4X4, CC, LB, 6-speed/ PHP Tuning /1.0 Turbo (no wastegate) with WW/ 4" turbo back exhaust/ AIS Intake with fender sleeve/ Isspro EV gauges/

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

[email protected] Dp

80E When wife drives 120 when I drive

Haven't check fuel MPG yet.

EGTs about 600 @ 55-60mph ,boost @ about 3-4 psi

I like my DD because I know I got the HP if I need it.

Maybe a different tuner.

Re: DD Tune? What's yours and why?

Same as above

But woudl add pedal is 1:1 on throttle. No touchy pedal. 1/4 pedal gets you 1/4 throttle.

Boost fooler not needed as he can program the map.

Very good off boost throttle response.

Gained 2-3 mpg depending where i am driving

Overhead mpg calculator works accurately which most tunes screw up. In fact stock it was off by about .5-1 mpg and the chip made it almost dead on accurate.

Little if any smoke.

I usually run in the 5th position.

Can't think of anything I would change. I am sure some small tweaks could be made with live tuning as all tunes can but doubt it would be anything that noticeable.

Re: DD Tune? What's yours and why?

I run around/light tow in my 2nd power setting, which is the 4th position. Boost: couple lbs, hard to tell. Tuned by Matt Robinson. I couldn't ask for much more. Im running low 14's in a fat ass farm truck with PMR's......

1) heavy tow
2) high idle
3) quiet (drive through tune)
4) street muscle
5) faster (my race tune)
6) fastest (gets too hot for me)

EGT's are about 700* @ 65mph. I cant keep my foot out of it enough to get a good city driving mpg reading. I did get about 18 mpg last highway trip I took though.

Oh yea, 238cc/80% over nozzles.
