Fuel pick up plugged?

What are the odds of my fuel pick up being plugged?

I have been fighting fuel pressure issues for months now. I still have a more or less stock pick up, with some intank mods I did YEARS ago.

I need to get a 5/8" pick up, but I need to get back to Bend first... What do you think about shooting some compressed air up the supply line to try and flush the pick up?

trying to do something quick and easy that might work?

Re: Fuel pick up plugged?

I'd give it a try, just make sure and take the cap off the fuel tank.
I actually did this once so that my line wouldn't have fuel running out while changing around fuel lines.

Re: Fuel pick up plugged?

I just spent 4 fricking hours rewiring it off the battery thru a relay, using the factory wiring to trigger the relay... and it didnt help a bit.

I am going to do this tomorrow evening and also order a new Walbro. Right now I have a Ford pump that was dieing, and another ford pump that is used and was given to me (It seems to be good)...

What a bastard fuel system... I am embarrassed of it.

Anyone have a link to the walbro pump guys?

Re: Fuel pick up plugged?

More or less factory pick up, to a 10 mic water seperator to the fuel pump thru a 2 mic final filter to a ITP Bowl delete kit... Then today I added my old fuel pump back into the mix to try and help... It didnt work.

How is this for fuel pressure issue...

Re: Fuel pick up plugged?

That could be a possibility. Seeing as the fuel wasn't sloshing around for lime you said 6-7 months alot of the crap in the tank could have settled right at the bottom of the tank and got sucked up when you started driving again.

Have you shot air through it yet?
