What to look for on a 01

So mu buddy is looking at a 01 ccsb. When u first start it it idles rough but drives fine and once it is warm it is fine. I guess a code was pulled and it said injector. I am going with him to look at it tomorrow what should we be looking at? I guess the oil is black in it would that cause a injector code? Here is the truck. Find the ICP sensor and unplug it. If there is oil in the plug the sensor is bad. I had the same issue on my truck and the new sensor cleaned the idle up nicely.

Try that and im sure others will chip in with more ideas.

Well we went to looked at it. I think it has some big problems if you take the oil cap of it has hella blow by. He is talking about buying it for $10,000 and building a motor for it. I advise against it but what ya gonna do.

10k for nearly 200,000 miles.

I don't know if your location has a lot to do with price but i gave 8500 for mine with 140k and it was near mint when i got it and had zero problems. I went through it with a fine tooth comb when i test drove it for the weekend and it was super clean.

Or i just got a hell of a deal.

We get all the crap texas doesnt want lol. For $8500 you might find a wrecked one around here. hell i no a guy that sold a totaled heavy front end damaged 01with over 300,000 miles for $2,000 there was no good panels left on it.

I think both, You couldn't touch your truck for under 13 around here.

1997 f250 4x4 sclb, auto, 3.55's, 191k, diy intake w 6637, ccv mod, pyro, boost, trans gauges, 3" dp to 4" single exh. super chips for now. scangauge

Some blow by is normal. We have six 7.3 powerstrokes in the family and they all have some blow by.
