Re: 4.30 gears or 4.56 gears??

If you want to attempt to keep the RPM down at 70 you will not want to go with 4.56's. I have 38's and im still 3.73's. I dont think you will be happy on the highway with 4.56's and 37's. Just my .02

Re: 4.30 gears or 4.56 gears??

My tires are 36", and I love having the 4.30's on there, especially for towing and driving up in the mountains. Keeps me from lugging the engine too much and downshifting all the time, and the RPM's on the highway are close to what it was when it was stock.

IMO I wouldn't go with 4.56's either, as the others have mentioned.

IMHO i would go with 4:10's, i had a gasser in HS with 37's and 4:10's and it worked great, got decent mileage too..........for 37's

I think 4.10s are the way to go with 35" and 37"tires.

Re: 4.30 gears or 4.56 gears??

for the money it will cost i dont think 4:10s would be worth it, i dont think there would be that much of a difference with what i got now

That is the ONLY reason i havent done 4.10's but i dont want 4.30's so i have just stuck with the stock 3.73's and get some pretty good freeway to RPM results at least lol
