puliing the 7.3 motor

ok ive come across a wrecked f250 1999-2003 7.3. im about ready to pull the motor and tranny just not sure on what to do with it. im thinking on rebuilding the motor and tranny or selling it the motor is fully intacked. what would some of you guys do with it?

if i was to find one.... Id do a built bottom end build and make a 550-600hp street machine out of it.

me and my buddy were thinking about making it a sled pulling truck in the 2.6 or 2.8 class

It's going to take some serious money to make it competitive in 2.6, and even more so for 2.8, most likely with the nessesary addition of mechanical injection to be competitive.

It never hurts to keep it as a spare, but if you can afford to build it that's never a bad avenue either!
