Gauge questions

Finally getting ready for some gauges. I'm thinking about Autometer Ultralite II.

Is a 0-35 psi adequate for boost? I'll be going with a 38r turbo, but no other serious engine mods.

Do most people use mechanical gauges or electric. Autometer seems to have more choices in the full sweep electric gauges. What are the pros and cons of mechanical gauges versus electric.

Thanks for any input.

Re: Gauge questions

I have the ultralite IIs myself and I love them cuz they have the internal led lights. If you're not EVER getting injectors 0-35 will work but I think 0-60 would be a better choice because you never know. I would go with mechanical for the boost just because it would be cheaper but my trans boost and volts (obviously ) are electric. If you have basic wiring skills you should be fine to do this. I have full sweep electric pyro (0-1600), short sweep electric trans and volt, and full sweep mechanical boost (0-60). Enjoy you'll love em!
