Re: wastegate hose

unhook from turbo end then plug the hose by pushing it onto the bolt of a IC boot clamp...it wont build more but build faster..its best to tighten the waste gate then to unplug the hose..

Re: wastegate hose

Its pretty much pointless. It may give you 1-3 boost which wont do any good anyways.

Re: wastegate hose

1-3??? Really? On mine with the 38R I can gain about mmmm 8 PSI by unplugging it and my EGTs are way cooler.

Re: wastegate hose

25 psi right now Jk

With a stock turbo if you are going to eventually be upgrading best to either screw the waste gate actuator down tight to wire it shut and watch the boost gauge. If you are keeping a stocker get he manual Turbo Master actuator and set it to open at 27 psi also get a 1.15 exhaust housing and ATS ported compressor housing. makes the most out of a stock based turbo IMO. Seems unplugging the red wire has little effect on stock turbos from the reports I have read on here. Maybe a bit faster spool but that is it. 38R maybe different.

Re: wastegate hose

Me to. I am going to tape up the valve on top of my fooler today and see what happens when I dont let it open. I figure if it does the same number it does right now then its the fooler. That not allowing that extra 5 psi or so I would think could bring the EGTs up that extra 100* or so.

Sorry to hyjack the thread.
