SCT sf3

There is a local guy selling brand new sct sf3 for $200, so I bought one yesterday and loaded it in my truck.
Whats the deal with custom tunes that I keep reading about. Is it possible to load a custom tune via email, and who should I go with??

I loaded the tow tune, and am wondering what the best one is for fuel mileage?
thanks

Sold my 07 3500 Cummins to get out of a truck payment.
Purchased a 2000 f250 PSD 4x4 CC LWB XLT with leather seats and 70k miles. Very happy with the new/old truck. SCT SF3. DIY Donaldson air filter BHF. ZooDad. New Greesable xrf ball joints/tie rods/inner axle seals.

Re: SCT sf3

The race tune scares me, as it feels like I need gauges.
The tow tune puts me in the power range of my stock 07 cummins which is what I was after.

What do your temps look like with the race?

Tadds, tunes from Elite.I have that set-up in one of my 7.3 trucks..runs great, but i would still invest in gauges.I think i get around 17-18 mpg.
