IDK about power, but the sound sure is sweet. It'll flow a little better, so maaaybe you get a pony or two more.

Re: Straight Pipe. Pros - Cons????

I took my friends bone stock 03 7.3 and cut off the muffler back and replaced it with an axel over 4" and the difference was actually really noticable both in sound and power. Sound isnt like a gasser or a mercruiser out of water but is actually just right, the power gained seemed to be right off idle and he is very happy with the change.

I wouldnt just cut the muffler out. I would either go with a 4" or 5" personally. They sound alot better than the 3.5" straight piped.

I have a 4" exhaust with the cat already removed. I like the turbo whistle of the 6.0 and was hoping that mine would be a bit louder.

Yes it will be a bit louder but not like a VGT turbo...

Re: Straight Pipe. Pros - Cons????

The noise in the cab is a pinch louder, but not obnoxious. Roll down the window and you can hear it for sure but like people said above, it's not like a straight piped gasser. I've had my set up for 2 years. 4" turbo back no muffler and love it

Also have a 4" back.. Really wish it sounded more throaty and less fluttery. Although it does get nice and throaty when I hop on it.

Defiantly noticed a difference in power too!
