The whole idea is to keep the air out. And besides, 40 psi of boost aint gonna do nothing with 3000 psi of oil pressure.

Ok you forwarned us all earlier......

That will momentarily increase the pressure in the resevoir, but once the oil is used up new oil will not becoming into the resevoir because the boost pressure is greater than the oil pressure (in most instances where it matters). So now you are starving for oil worse than before.
