Hottest glow plug for a 7.3?

Have a 2000 250 with the 7.3. Who makes the hottest or longest lasting glow plugs for it?

motorcraft ZD-11. they are the ONLY glow plugs that work in these engines.
all the rest will burn out shortly after install. some, like autolites, tend to burn out on the first use.

What tj ^^^^ said. In addition install a white Rogers Stancor GP Relay, way more robust and will last much much longer than the stocker. Fact is for me I ve never had to replace a GP Relay once I install the Stancor Relay.

Would you happen to know the difference between the motorcraft standard zd11 and the zd11b2?

Re: Hottest glow plug for a 7.3?

FWIW we have been selling and installing Diesel RX Glow plugs in everything we work, including all of my own trucks, on since 2011 and have never had a failure, or an issue removing them. I ran Bosch before that, and never had an issue.
So I don't totally agree that Motorcraft is the ONLY plug to go with, but it's certainly one of the best and you can't go wrong with them. I do agree, however, to stay away from anything you get from the parts stores that are not Motorcraft or Bosch.
