Single vs. Split shot injector upgrade

I have a 2003 7.3 PSD. I've done several mods for power to it over the years. The stock split shot injectors are getting tired and was thinking to replace them for better economy and less smoke,. But would not mind more power either. I have a DP tuner it would have to have my tuning changed anyway with whichever injector I go with. Does anybody have experience with this?
