VDH2 in a E99???

I got a great deal on a IDM and ECM from a 2002 7.3, the code is VDH2 its a DCP-462 hardware code. Will this ECM work in my truck? If not what will not work/what can I do to fix it?

Example: Like the the gauges will not work if I swap in this ECM and i have to use a 2002 cluster to fix it....or something like that?

thanks, Jimmy

Try it and find out. Mine was an 02. Put in a 99 and my truck started. I forgot what worked and what didn’t though.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, probably can't hurt anything... just wanted to hear from others and see if anyone has already done it. Everyone seems to be all about the PMT1 or 2.... didn't know if the VDH are to be avoided for some reason.......

I think the DPC code just has to match... not entirely sure though.
