red wire on turbo

The red wire on the waste gate i believe, some guy told me that if i take that off and put it on the bolt on the rubbers boots ill get 16hp it this true and is it safe???

its safe yes, you wont see 16 hp though it just delays the wastegate

I dont think its safer. I had mine unplugged and after a few WOT runs i plugged it back in.

All i noticed was more boost faster. Hitting 28psi on the stock turbo isnt to safe or smart.

Like i said i unplugged mine and after a few hard runs i plugged it right back in.

Do it make some hard runs, if u like it keep it, if not plug 'er back in

But no, i dont recomend it

damn i took it of and ran it real quick, i sure hear the turbo alot more and there is a lil more boost.. i dunno

Just keep your eye on the boost gauge as long as you keep it around ~24psi you should be ok. I did like the fact how fast the boost came on from about 8psi on up

lol i just did it to my stock excursion... i got no boost gauge....
