Int plenum coupler size?

I'm wondering what size tubing the manifold plenum to x-pipe couplers are? I'm making a run to town, but don't want to disassemble my intake in the parking lot lol... Mine are the same size both ends. Can't find my dang OD tape to measure my y-pipe ends.

Thanks fellas!

Wow! That does suck. I have another thread going on replacing them here somewhere. Just got in a pinch today and needed a measurement. I'm picking up a couple feet in bulk for the truck and some other sizes for the the jetskis.

Re: Int plenum coupler size?

i bought a meter section (3.3' or 88mm) from siliconhoses.com and it was 3" ID for like 90 bucks. I cut them into 3.75" lengths and used them on my intake Y.

Re: Int plenum coupler size?

I picked up a foot and a half of 3" 3 ply for $17.08 from Delta Rubber in Reno.

Hopefully I can get it installed tomorrow, then time will tell. I wanted to do the stiffeners for the plenums, but am being lazy and am going without and see how it goes.

Re: Int plenum coupler size?

I would add support inside the plenums, and then use stronger clamps. It cured a MAJOR issue I had with my intake plenums crushing.

Re: Int plenum coupler size?

I agree with you there for sure. I put new t-bolt clamps on instead, but the plenums feel and look soft. I'll pick up some stiffeners soon and get them in. I can feel that I need to go tighter with the clamps, but feel that the plenums will crush.

My GVW was 16,800 ish today and I tried to blow one off, but they held nicely. One thing I did notice was how tight the new couplers holds the intercooler pipes from moving around now. Everything is WAY more solid. I'm very happy with that. I'll try to post a couple pics from my phone. If it doesn't work, oh well... I always have issues getting pics posted here. OK well... I'm still not getting pics up. Apparently even my lame phone takes pics too big to post here. Dangit! The new couplers are pretty too! And clean...

Sorry fellas :/
