just as simple as you said it...the hardest part is lining up the pin (pic bellow) in the Y pipe with the back of the turbo while you put the clamp on...i got it lined up and stuffed a rag between the Y and the fire wall to hold it in place while i put the clamp on....make sure to spray them clamps down good with PB blast the night before and just before you start....just take your time and have fun..

Yeah but a 1/2" will work... but usually gets stuck on the bolt head a little bit.

Re: EBPV delete how much work is it???

But no one has yet to answer the OP's original question. Is this a legitimate and viable mod or just a waste of money? I am interested as well since I have a 38r with high flow outlet on the way. I didn't buy the pedastel though, it on back order and I was told I didn't need it anyways. Thoughts???

Re: EBPV delete how much work is it???

Remove the butterfly valve and either tap the housing and install a pipe plug or you can just put a freeze plug down in there.

As for the pedistal I gut it and use a 1/2" SAE bolt. Put a flat washer on it and then thread it through the hole and on the other side I put another flat washer, a lock washer (or a nylon locking nut) and a 1/2" nut. Tighten, replace the back cover and re-install.

Re: EBPV delete how much work is it???

if you have the pedistol and turbo off already and do not plan on useing the ebv for anything then just go head and delete it.

not a hard job to do, you should be able to get what you need for this at you local parts house. take the ped with you so you make sure and get the right size plugs.

On the hunt for another truck....
