Normal?

Here's a video of my snow stage 2. The advertised pump output is 150 psi, and I am only getting 80 out of it, almost 1/2 of what it should be. This is not going to work to with boost pressure around 65psi. I want to upgrade to the 250, but am concerned that it wont actually produce 250.

Anyone do any testing on the 250 pump?

Are they advertising dead head pressure?

Re: Normal?

From everything I have read it will not. In fact it woudl be lucky to stay at 150.

Try CoolMist their pumps have been proven to hit the 220-250 PSI they are rated at.

Re: Normal?

I went w coolingmist and although I haven't check pressure, it seems to work, because the EGTs drop pretty quickly when the water comes on. CM also uses a different pump from what I was told.

Re: Normal?

CM pumps come set at a true 220 PSI and can be turned up to a full 250 psi if you have large multiple nozzles. No matter its far better than a hopped up surflow that Snow uses from everything I have seen.
