did you switch to the 38r from the stocker or did you do the injectors all at once? I'm interested in how much you noticed if it was just a charger up grade.

Re: looking for a new turbo

38R is awesome and cant beat the price. If your going to get bigger injectors or want more in the future I would go with something different like a H2e or maybe even a 42R setup.

2003 F-250 4x4 7.3 liter PSD EXT. cab SB. Wilson 2000 antenna, Uniden PC78 peaked and tuned with a connex 250 Linear Amp.
MODS: BTS Tranny, DIY Tymar, Hypermax 3.5 DP to 5" back, TW tunes, DI's GT38R BB turbo, autometer boost, pyro, trans, water temp a Scangauge and Firestone rear air bags.

Re: looking for a new turbo

sorry did them both at once, but no surge and it lights pretty quick...

read something on line and they were comparing the bone stocker to a 38r and dyno'd like 80hp more on a bone stock truck.
