Quote:
Corona, Ca…advanced Flow engineering (aFe Power), an industry leader in performance cold air intakes, filters, manifolds and exhaust systems is pleased to announce the release of their new BladeRunner intake manifold kit with the new MDV (Multiple Directional Vane) technology for the popular 1999.5-2003 Ford Power Stroke with the V8-7.3L (td) 46-10061.

Re: Another Option For Intake Spiders

I guess if you stay w/ a stock turbo set-up and need that 18% air flow..

Pricey but pretty nice looking

I dont really know how I feel about the "vanes" in the cold side, Seems like it would just be a restriction since the air is under pressure.

The spider side would be cool for building your own turbo set up.

Re: Another Option For Intake Spiders

I think that is sweet, but not needed for stock turbo. Now it may be advantageous for the 38r guys that are pushing some air through the engine.

I am working on a real sweet intake Y that is polished SS. It will not come with the stock turbo adapter though, it is set up for those running the T4 type mounts. It will be that much anyway, I don't think the price is bad, just not necessary for most people.

Edit: Next time we all do a dyno day it would be cool to run stock spider and then change out to this one and run again. We could see if there are gains or not pretty easily on something that simple to swap.
