Re: 6.0 IC swap

If you can get one cheap it may be worth it it may drop the egts down about 50 or so, possibly more towing..they are not as good asw the aftermarket ones but don't cost 1k or more either.

Re: 6.0 IC swap

I just got done doing this mod, finished yesterday. Haven't gotten much time on it yet but today I brought a load of wood down from the mountains and noticed with a load my EGT's were about 60* to 80* cooler then two weeks ago with the same load. Also seemed to cool down a little faster while waiting to shut the truck down. If you can get the intercooler for a good price I'd say do it till you can upgrade.

Re: 6.0 IC swap

If you can grab one for around $150 then do it.

I saw a 100 degree drop everywhere and boost builds alot faster. I am very happy with mine.

Re: 6.0 IC swap

If yours is the all aluminum version I would not get rid of it. If you ever want to make some real boost someday you will need an intercooler that doesn't have plastic ends.
