New Built Trans have ?

I recently got my trans rebuild by a well known local shop here in SW Michigan. Billet converter, valve body, clutches, pretty much all the works! My question is I have a DP tuner and wondering if its necessary to have it sent back to Jody for a reburn for the new line pressures of the new tranny and billet converter and what not?

Also another question.. my truck is an early 99 and i was watching this video on youtube that is posted below and at the end of the video the truck like laughs after the dyno run. What is it doing exactly? is it bad? because my truck does that to when i rev it up in my 80 econ stage?

Re: New Built Trans have ?

a good reburn would be apporiate to take advantage of your new tranny and to smooth out all the shift points, tc lockup, line presure, ect.

give dp tuner a call and im shure they will fix you right up. i would not beat on it until new tunes are in.

On the hunt for another truck....

Re: New Built Trans have ?

possibly fuel cackle, have you changed the fuel system.
there are a couple of fittings that can let air in.
my truck will sound like that bone stock if you let up while on the highway etc...but only when i let off...never reving up.

None of the 7.3's Ive owned made a noise like that...ever.
That doesnt sound like "fuel cackle" to me......or at least what I thought was cackle.

ICP stabilizing. Seems to me that an IPR replacement should be on the list of things-to-do.

Or, depending on whether or not the truck has aftermarket tuning (like yours does), the IPR duty cycle map needs to be altered to give a better response time from 80% (arbitrary aftermarket tuning number) to 5%.
