how many guys running a gen III or simalier hpo setup, and what type of driving do you do with it?(hiway miles, dd, tow, or other)

how much more does it deplete the oil that you guys have seen, and also what type of gains were noticed. thanks in advance.

Re: gen III style hpop.

I drove the first gen3 on my daily driver in testing for 15k or so, No problems whatsoever, good oil pressure and still changed the oil every 5k withgood results, Swamp has one on his daily driver now i am sure he could answer any question you may have about daily driving a gen3. Its been a long time since i have had a souped up daily driver lol

I have a gen3 on my truck... Although it's not 'daily' driven it is a 'dd street truck' and there's really no adverse affects to it aside from the 5-25 second shake on startup Jon said that's just the nature of the beast

Re: gen III style hpop.

The only problem I have w/ it is I am not able to find a Viton shaft seal for the pump and I lost a shaft seal after approximately 10K miles.

I wonder if Swamps has tracked some down and is providing them?

Also, I don't get any weird shaking at start up.

As far as oil volume goes, it's more than enough for anything you got.

I'm officially...Stroke-less.

Re: gen III style hpop.

Do you guys have any specs on the seal? Cross referencing the seal shouldn't be that hard if you have the shaft OD, bore ID, and pocket depth to start out. You know you want it made of viton. Those items alone should get you close. Is this seal a high pressure seal, or is it a low pressure seal? Take that information to a sealing and packing place and you will find what you are looking for.
