Re: tidewater engines

If the description is true, this is by far the best deal out there.

Quote:
1994 TO 2004 FORD OR NAVISTAR 7.3 POWERSTROKE LONG BLOCK ENGINE. INCLUDES BLOCK, ROTATING ASSEMBLY , HEADS, & VALVTRAIN PARTS. SHIPPED WITH NEW OIL PUMP & GASKET SET.

3 YR, 75000 MILE WARRANTY. CALL OR EMAIL FOR SPECIFICS ON THE WARRANTY.

THIS IS A LONG DESCRIPTION BUT THIS IS THE INFO YOU NEED IN MAKING A WISE PURCHASE. NOT ALL ENGINES ARE REMANUFACTURED THE SAME WAY. WE ARE NOT A PRODUCTION REBUILDER (ASSEMBLY LINE EMPLOYEES). WE ARE A CUSTOM ENGINE REBUILDER (ASE MASTER MACHINIST EMPLOYEES). WE SUPPLY UPS, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, VOLVO & MERCRUISER MARINE DEALERS, FORD & GM DEALERS AND NUMEROUS OTHERS WITH CUSTOM BUILD ENGINES. ASK FOR REFERENCES!

ALL ENGINES ARE BLUEPRINTED! BLUEPRINTING IS DEFINED AS REMOVING & NARROWING THE TOLERANCES FOUND IN MASS PRODUCTION. ROD, MAIN, & CAM CLEARANCES ARE CHECKED WITH DIAL BORE GAUGES & MICROMETERS. BEARINGS CLEARANCES ARE SET DEPENDING ON APPLICATION (TRUCK, CAR, MARINE, PERFORMANCE, ETC.). PISTON & VALVE GUIDE CLEARANCES ARE SET WITH DIAL BORE GAUGES. CAM TIMING EVENTS ARE CHECKED AND ADJUSTED. A SPECIFICATIONS & BUILD SHEET ARE AVAILABLE FOR EACH ENGINE.

WE DO NOT WELD OR REPAIR CRACKED BLOCKS, CRANKS OR HEADS. WE DO NOT USE CYLINDER SLEEVES TO REPAIR BAD CYLINDERS. IF WE DONíT HAVE A GOOD REBUILDABLE ENGINE CORE WE DONíT OFFER AN ENGINE FOR SALE. I WOULD NOT WANT AN ENGINE WITH A WELDED OR SLEEVED PART. WOULD YOU?

CYLINDER BORED IN OUR ROTTLER BORING MACHINE & HONED IN OUR NEW 2008 SUNNEN SV10 CYLINDER HONE (LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN DIAMOND ABRASIVE HONING) WITH TORQUE PLATES TO A MAXIMUM OF .020. NO SLEEVES OR CRACK REPAIRED BLOCKS!

MAIN BEARING SADDLES ARE ALIGN BORED & HONED TO LOW SIDE OF SPECS (IN OUR SUNNEN CH100 ALIGN HONE) TO TIGHTEN OIL CLEARANCES & HELP INCREASE OIL PRESSURE AT LOW RPM'S. THIS IS PART OF THE BLUEPRINT PROCESS. WE DO NOT TRY AND REPAIR BLOCKS WITH "SPUN" MAIN BEARINGS. WE JUNK THOSE BLOCKS!

BLOCK DECKS ARE SURFACED WITH CBN CUTTERS (IN OUR VAN NORMAN HYDRAULIC FEED SURFACER). THIS IS THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN SURFACING CAST IRON. TO ENSURE PROPER GASKET SEALING WE CHECK ALL SURFACES WITH A PROLIFOMETER (DEVICE USED TO CHECK SURFACE FINISH - DIFFERENT GASKETS REQUIRE DIFFERENT SURFACE FINISHES). WE DO NOT USE HEAD GASKET "SHIMS" TO CORRECT BLOCK HEIGHT ERRORS. WE JUNK THOSE BLOCKS!

CRANKSHAFTS ARE HEAT TREATED (THERMAL CONVECTION OVEN - BETTER AND EASIER ON THE CASTING THAN YOUR STANDARD PRODUCTION REBUILDER THERMAL OVEN), SHOT PEENED (STRESS RELIEVES), AND MACHINED A MAXIMUM OF .010 ON ROD & MAIN JOURNALS. CRANKSHAFT IS THEN BALANCED IN OUR 2006 STEWART WARNER DIGITAL BALANCER. NO WELDED CRANKSHAFT JOURNALS! MOST ALL PRODUCTION REBUILDERS DO NOT BALANCE THEIR CRANKS, RODS, & PISTONS. THAT IS A FACT.

CONNECTING RODS ARE HEAT TREATED (THERMAL CONVECTION OVEN), SHOT PEENED (STRESS RELIEVES), & MACHINED TO THE LOW SIDE OF THE OEM SPECS TO TIGHTEN OIL CLEARANCES & HELP OIL PRESSURE AT LOW RPM'S. THIS IS PART OF THE BLUEPRINT PROCESS.MATCHED & BALANCED SET OF RODS. WE DO NOT TRY AND RECONDITION RODS WITH "SPUN" BEARINGS. WE JUNK THOSE RODS!

CYLINDER HEADS REMANUFACTURED TO EXCEED OEM SPECS (IN OUR NEW 2008 ROTTLER VALVE SEAT MACHINE). WE INSTALL PREMIUM "STAR" SERIES HARDENED STELLITE EXHAUST SEATS (THESE ENGINES DO NOT COME NEW WITH STELLITE SEATS - THIS IS AN OEM UPDATE). VALVE GUIDES REPLACED & HONED IN OUR SUNNEN GUIDE HONE. HEADS ARE SURFACED ON THE GASKET SURFACE WITH CBN CUTTERS TO ENSURE PROPER GASKET SEALING. SURFACES ARE THEN CHECKED WITH THE SAME PROLIFOMETER USED ON BLOCK GASKET SURFACES. NEW OEM INJECTOR SLEEVES ARE INSTALLED & THE HEAD CASTING IS PRESSURE TESTED TO VERIFY THE COOLING SYSTEM INTEGRITY.

WE DO NOT WELD OR REPAIR CRACKED OR DAMAGED CYLINDER HEAD CASTINGS. WE DO NOT "SHIM" WEAK VALVE SPRINGS TO INCREASE PRESSURE (WE REPLACE). WE DO NOT USE BRONZE VALVE GUIDE LINERS (PRODUCTION REBUILDERS USE THEM, BUT... THEY FAIL), WE REPLACE THE VALVE GUIDE (NOT TRY & REPAIR IT).

THE LONG BLOCK IS ASSEMBLED WITH MAHLE PISTONS ( THEY ARE THE OEM SUPPLIER FOR NAVISTAR & FORD), MAHLE PISTONS RINGS, CLEVITTE BEARINGS, MELLING OIL PUMP, JOHNSON LIFTERS, FELPRO GASKETS,CAMSHAFT & TIMING COMPONENTS, & FREEZE PLUGS. THE ASSEMBLED LONG BLOCK IS THEN TESTED FOR COMPRESSION BEFORE SHIPPING. OUR 2 ENGINE BUILDERS HAVE A COMBINED 60 YRS EXPERIENCE & ARE ASE MASTER ENGINE MACHINIST - ASK TO SEE THEIR CREDENTIALS & TALK TO THEM.

FREE SHIPPING AND CORE PICKUP TO MOST ZIP CODES IN THE UNITED STATES (EXCEPT ALASKA & HAWAII). MUST BE TO A BUSINESS LOCATION. EMAIL YOUR INFO & ZIP CODE TO SEE IF YOU QUALIFY FOR FREE SHIPPING. YOU MUST HAVE A LOADING DOCK OR FORKLIFT TO UNLOAD THE ENGINE. A TRUCK WITH A LIFTGATE CAN BE SENT FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY ALSO AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. YOU CAN PICKUP THE ENGINE FROM THE SHIPPERS WAREHOUSE ALSO. WE WILL NEED THE SHIP TO ADDRESS, BILL TO ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS, & ALL PHONE NUMBERS NECESSARY (WORK, CELL, SHIP TO PHONE NUMBER, ETC.). SOMEONE MUST BE AT THE SHIP TO ADDRESS TO SIGN & RECEIVE THE ENGINE AND TO RETURN THE CORE.

NO CORE CHARGE WILL BE BILLED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, BUT BY BUYING YOU AGREE TO HAVE THE ENGINE CORE & SHIPPING CONTAINER READY FOR PICKUP AND RETURN TO US WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE ENGINE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY (UNTIL CORE CHARGE IS PAID IN FULL) & YOU WILL BE BILLED $1250.00 FOR THE SHIPPING CONTAINER AND THE ENGINE CORE NOT RETURNED. IF YOU HAVE NO CORE OR THE CORE IS NO GOOD (CORE MUST HAVE NO VISIBLE CRACKS OR HOLES AND ROTATE 360 DEGREES) THEN THE ENGINE WILL BE SHIPPED IN SHRINK WRAP ON A NON RETURNABLE WOODEN PALLET & THE APPROPRIATE CORE CHARGE DUE FIOR THE ENGINE CORE ONLY.

WE WILL NEED THE YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, AND VIN NUMBER TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE BUYING THE CORRECT ENGINE BEFORE WE SHIP. CALL 757-855-5091 OR EMAIL [email protected] WITH QUESTIONS.

Re: tidewater engines

I don't see how they could possibly do all that they claim for that price.

I was thinking the same thing. Lots of money spent on new machines. Lots of time spent on what they describe.

If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
