Will a stock turbo handle Swamps' 175/146 injectors?

I believe these are Swamps' mildly modded injectors. I am wondering if the stock turbo charger is ok with these?

Buy yourself a 1.0 exhaust housing and keep on going with that stock charger. Thats the set-up I'm going to be using soon.

mine worked fine, my injectors were the 175/146 single shots in my 2001, they worked like a charm on the stock turbo, with the tuning i had it was somwheres around 350rwhp. the trurbo would get up around 34 35psi so i dont know how long it would have worked but i drove it pretty hard for about 6 or 7k miles before i sold it. BTW those boost pressure blew my stock hg...fyi

Were your heads stock and never off the block or did you reuse stock bolts?

You do not reuse stock head bolts when reinstalling the head and I don't believe the turbo will live for long.

I thought the stock turbo was hardly enough for the stock injectors.

mine was a fresh full rebuild, with new headgaskets and new headbolts. it only had about 2000 miles on it when it blew the headgasket. it would have blown it sooner but i babied it till then. i studded it and never hsd another problem with it. i also changed to forged rods but not sure if that was nessisary or not.

Re: Will a stock turbo handle Swamps' 175/146 injectors?

Why would the turbo not live long? Is it from boosting past the 25psi? Could I limit the wastegate to 25psi or would that really limit the performance of the injectors? I really do not want to upgrade the turbo, but don't want the an unmatched set up either.

Re: Will a stock turbo handle Swamps' 175/146 injectors?

I'm running the van turbo (essentially a stocker with 1.15 exh housing) with my hybrids and it ain't enough. With those singles a van turbo would be okay. 1.0 housing might get you by, but if you are hammering it at 35psi (what I'm doing to my van turbo), I'd bet it won't stay together too long.
